West Virginia authorities respond to a fatal work accident

It is an unfortunate fact, but the truth is that accidents happen. Moreover, many do not have control over when an accident occurs because it is often the case that the negligence of another party might have caused the incident. Whether an accident occurs on the road or on-the-job, the details of the incident should be explored to determine cause and liability. In matters of a fatal accident, loved ones could file a cause of action.

Authorities in West Virginia recently responded to a fatal work accident that occurred near a drill site on Braden Hill Road in Tyler County. According to reports, the industrial accident occurred when two workers were moving a large ribber tired loader. During this attempt to move the load, the loader ran over one of the employees.

The worker suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal work accident. The incident remains under investigation at this time and authorities are still determining the cause. Following an incident like this, loved ones of the deceased worker could file for workers' compensation benefits. This could help cover costs associated and resulting from the accident such as medical bills, funeral costs, lost wages and other related damages.

A workplace accident could happen for a variety of reasons, which is why it is important to investigate the incident fully. This could determine cause and assess the quality of workplace safety. The loss of a loved one is a difficult event to process, but understanding the cause could help them with a wrongful death suit following the fatal accident.
