West Virginia crash injures two

Even when safety measures are instituted, some roadways still experience accidents. A collision at an intersection is possible even if adequate traffic signs and signals are installed. Furthermore, a negligent driver could easily cause a serious crash due to distractions, speeding or failing to yield. No matter the cause, a car accident often results in severe damages and serious injuries.

Following a collision in Elkins, two victims were transported to the hospital for injuries they suffered. According to authorities in West Virginia, the accident occurred on Corridor H at an exit intersection. Police officers indicated that the accident happened when an SUV crossed into the westbound lane of Corridor H and collided with a pickup truck.

Emergency crews responded to the accident and transported both drivers to the hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are still investigating the crash and no charges or citations have been issued at this time.

Following an accident investigation of a car crash, police officers are able to determine cause and assign liability. A driver who is at fault in a crash is likely to endure civil liabilities and could be liable for the resulting injuries and damages. Any victims injured in the crash could file a personal injury claim against the other driver. In this way, the victims are able to recover compensation that could be used to cover medical bills and damages associated with the accident.

An intersection crash could easily occur when a driver is not driving safely or paying proper attention to the road. Those injured in the accident often have a cause of action, so it is important that they seek advice in order to preserve their rights and options.
