Two transported to hospital following crash in Beckley

A simple negligent act could seriously injure or kill another driver or a passenger on the road. Driving too fast, failing to yield or stop, driving took closely to other vehicles, failing to use a turn signal, making an abrupt stop and texting while driving are all dangerous actions that could result in an accident.

The victims injured in a recent collision were reported to be in stable condition. The Beckley Police Department was called to the scene of the two-car accident. The crash occurred at around 8:45 a.m. on West Neville Street. Emergency crews transported two people from the scene of the crash to the hospital where they received medical care.

It was reported that the road had to be shut down briefly in order to clear the scene. A utility pole at the scene of the accident sustained damage in the car accident and the utility pole needed to be tended to by the proper professionals.

The accident is still under investigation and no citations were issued initially. Once the investigation is complete, cause and liability could be determined. If a driver was negligent and caused the crash, they could be liable for the resulting injuries and damages.

An injured party could file a personal injury claim. This could help recover compensation that would be used to cover the expenses associated with the accident. The monetary award could cover costs such as medical bills, damages, lost wages and pain and suffering.

Those affected in a car crash should seek to better understand their situation and whether they have any cause of action. This could also help to preserve their interest while also protecting their rights.
