Man dies from injuries suffered in motorcycle crash

Some accident can go from bad to worse. Motorcycle accidents can result in serious injuries to the driver of the bike, and the injuries could be so severe that they could be fatal. A person riding on a motorcycle does not have all the safety features that the riders within an automobile usually experience. The driver of the motorcycle could be thrown from the bike and put in more serious risk if they land on the roadway where there is oncoming traffic. Motorcycle accidents can be very traumatic and tragic.

An Upland man who was involved in a motorcycle crash in November recently died to the injuries he suffered in the collision. The man was riding his Honda motorcycle on the 210 Freeway when the driver of a Hyundai Sonata lost control of their vehicle and struck his bike. Emergency crews responded to the accident and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital. The injuries he suffered were serious. He remained in critical condition and was transported to another medical facility where he later died.

The accident is still under investigation. No injuries were reported to the driver of the Sonata and no charges have been filed at this time. A person injured or killed in an accident like this might have personal injury claim or the family of the deceased might have a wrongful death claim. Compensation from the personal injury claim could go towards the cost for medical bills, recovery, lost wages and damages. A monetary award for a wrongful death suit could go towards funeral costs, medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering.

Accidents can't always be avoided but it is important to always take precaution and drive safely. Drivers should watch their speeds and reduce their speeds during times of inclement weather. Drivers of all vehicles should use caution when driving near motorcycles and put enough space between their vehicle and the bike.
